As you know I have been teaching an online course that meets twice weekly for 8 weeks for care partners, carers, and therapists. They have been learning methods to help their loved ones move their tongues, lips, teeth, and palate. Our major focus with the Teaching of Talking is training Carers, Family Members, and Therapists.
They are learning specific information that many professionals do not know or understand when it comes to training care partners or family members to help their loved ones talk at home.
We believe spouses and family members when trained properly are the keys to speech and language recovery for their wives/husbands, children, or family members.
