SIMPLE FACTS ABOUT APRAXIA AND APHASIA
Many people with aphasia also have apraxia. When one has difficulty making the sounds of speech with the tongue, lips, teeth and throat, it grossly affects how speech sounds. If the sounds of speech are not effectively made they will not be accurate and subsequently others will have difficulty understanding what people with apraxia are saying.
COMPLICATIONS WITH APHASIA AND APRAXIA
This is further complicated by aphasia in many cases where the individual has difficulty recalling the proper words and placing words in the correct order to make a sentence.
In this video, you will learn about apraxia and why it is so vital to the recovery of talking. Once you understand apraxia you will know how to help manage the speaking of your loved one.
