We are spending countless hours together in our motorhome in Las Vegas. Just about everything is closed except for the essential services.
It's a great time to talk with one another more
Malka and I have been talking a lot more since we are together 24/7. When one is together for that amount of time, you must find ways to get through the change of routine.
No one knows who, what, where, when and how
We have been talking. We realize it is almost fruitless to set goals as we have no idea of the future, and when the virus will no longer be a threat.
It takes two people to talk.
When two people are together, you can talk more. You may also learn things you did not know before.
I learned today from Malka. One is how she gave me the index finger. I asked her what it meant. She said that when she wanted to be recognized in grammar school to talk you raise your index finger: "I want to speak."
I want to speak!
What a great sign! "I want to speak!" That's how one was recognized when she was in grade school.
You can help your loved one speak. Imagine if everyone with aphasia learned this finger gesture. You'd be getting the finger all day long and each and every day!
You can learn to help your loved one talk
It's a great time to talk with those who have aphasia and help them talk.
I will be releasing the independent study video course to help you learn how. We are going to put it on sale this week at 75% discount. Be on the lookout!
