WHY I FIRST WROTE THE TEACHING OF TALKING BOOK AND PRODUCED AN ONLINE VIDEO COURSE FOR CAREGIVERS AND THERAPISTS
The Teaching of Talking Book and video were written and produced by me after working in some of the best rehab hospitals and having my therapy terminated by administrators time and time again when caps were reached.
SO I DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
After experiencing clients cry time after time because they were doing so well, and then told therapy had to end, I made a vow to create a product for therapists and those with aphasia.
IT'S VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE STANDARD, TRADITIONAL THERAPY
It's a great method that sidesteps workbooks, i pads, and flashcards and teaches caregivers how to stimulate speech and language at home, where it's first learned by all of us! It's done very naturally within a conversational framework, very similar to the ways a mother speaks to a baby while teaching it to talk..
