Chaos is defined as a disruption; something that happens that is unexpected that can immediately interrupt the daily thoughts and cares of everyday living from most people with stroke, aphasia, and it includes their spouses and families. This video reviews the chaos of it all when it first occurs and the importance of a systematic approach to dealing with all of the changes that shockingly become evident.

 

 

Order is the subject of the day with aphasia when it comes to treatment, and rehabilitation of speech, physical and occupational therapy. It's vital that family members stay vigilant to make sure therapy proceeds in a satisfactory way and that the person with aphasia and the family are pleased with the efforts and methods that are being provided. Methods for speech therapy must make sense and be presented to all concerned in an orderly way where progress is easily evident.
