Hi
A fun, Common Sense, and Beneficial Approach to Helping Those with Aphasia Talk Better or Again
Speech therapists all over the world use a variety of speech therapy methods that may include workbooks, flashcards, workbooks, and I pads. Most do not really address the ability to converse or talk interactively. They may also be using conventional methods like confrontational naming, phrase completion and other techniques that have been used for decades. They also have limited success since they do not address talking or conversing directly.
An Alternative Approach To Aphasia Speech Therapy and its Time Has Come
Moshe Mark Ittleman developed a conversational approach to speech therapy for those with aphasia that circumvents all the materials, technology, and paperwork-cognitive drills with a simple conversation.
Watch as you learn some very simple fundamentals of speech and conversation that will help you understand what the most favorable methods are. Methods that are fun, interactive, and meaningful to the individual with aphasia and his or her loved one, family member or spouse. markittleman@teachingoftalking.com
