This is my wife Malka.
She makes everything possible so that I can devote time to helping others with aphasia and apraxia talk better.
She keeps a wonderful home, prepares delicious meals, and makes sure that I'm comfortable during the days of many hours of speech therapy with people around the globe.
Without her, I could never do what I do now with ease. She is totally committed to making a good, healthy, and fun life for us both.
Why do I place a post like this on Facebook? It is because those with speaking difficulties, most greatly benefit from a committed partner, spouse, or family member.
They are the ones I want to acknowledge at the start of the New Year.
You are the ones that make it possible for all of us whether we have aphasia or not to thrive with love, attention, and fun.
We thank you for your love, care, and support to help us be all that we can be.
You can learn how how to help a loved one speak better or again. Talking is the ability to connect with others. Communication is vital for our personal well being.
You can learn how.
